Up a couple hundred after some decent blackjack hands, a solid roll on a slot machine my brother designed, and one of the hottest craps tables I’ve ever seen. Vegas is the ****! I’ll probably lose it all back tomorrow though..

so just stay out

Spend some of that and upgrade to a pressbox or a lavish dinner

or just go home with it and let the dog eat it

Any of those ways are better than losing it back to the damned casino!

Finally an early game (10 pm for me) where I'm actually at home. German TV chose to show Carolina - Ottawa tonight
The vast majority of sports fans over here will watch NFL anyway since that is where all the hype and media coverage goes, even outside of the playoffs.

But... but... German's back in the IIHF World Juniors next year.

Meh. I consider money I lose to gambling as paying for entertainment. There's no difference to me if I lose a hundred in a few hours playing blackjack, and spending a hundred going to a hockey game. It kind of defeats the purpose if I stop after I'm up and just sit around not playing.

I’ve always looked at it this way as well. I go in expecting to lose a certain amount of acceptable money as it is all just entertaining me anyways. If I come out in the black... well then my night was even better.

If it's about the game actually being played in Germany ice hockey is actually one of the "bigger" sports along with handball and basketball. Which means they get their fair share of the 50% (at most) attention left over by soccer.

For American sports German media has a little coverage of the German players in the NHL and NBA. The NFL however has received a lot of hype over the last years even though football isn't as big as hockey in Germany itself.

Football takes president today. Will have to watch later from the cloud.

Go Devils
You could watch the first period and not miss any of the Eagles Bears game. Puck drop should be around 407pm and the football game should start right when the 1st intermission begins.

Edit: Hopefully the current game ends by 4
