What Type of Player Do You Describe Yourself As?

Goalie, inline

I'd say my strengths are being agile and quick on my feet, good on the posts and down low. I've been told I'm developing a great kick save :) Weaknessess... lifting the damn stick when going into butterfly, and tendency to go down too soon. But both of these are probably beginner problems and I'm working on them! (Only been playing for 8 months).

As for attitude, I'm pretty quiet other than letting my D know if someone's coming and from where. No trash talking, just like to stay quiet and focused. Working on defending my crease a little better too, though not at the expense of taking my focus away from the play.

I've always fashioned my play after Guy Carbonneau's. Basically a good defensive center with decent offensive skills.

The thing I've got going for me is that i'm *really* fast and have good anticipation and stickwork.

When played as active I were playmaker. Best game was something like 2+6. Faceoff specialist and won most of faceoffs which counted. Had good hands and great vision, but my movement wasn't too good. Since I had huge growht period as kid once and I didn't do enough stretching my agility was pretty weak. And I were never strong.

After now when not playing active my movement is even weaker, but I think I have a bit more strenght.

And I did play 90% of time as center, 9,99% winger and 0,01% as goalie. I had so bad pads that always when I went down those pads were in wrong side of my legs and then I had to turn those back in to right position.

Oh and about attitude sometimes I took stupid penalties, even couple of against NHL'ers, but well they were quite good back then already :D Otherwise I were ok at def zone, but a lot with vision&hands at offensive zone.

About penalties, my funniest were like this: I were going into corner, then opponent came behind of me and crosshecked me. I got blackout for couple of seconds and next thing I realise I were in penalty box about roughing and I only got that knockout that guy gave me :shakehead

I was always the big checking forward who could crunch people. I had decent hands, by that I mean decent power shot and I always crashed the net, got rebounds, deflections etc, and got some PP time because of that. I guess I would say I'm kind of like Chris Neil

I'm kind of a playmaker or a sniper... I'm good at passing, alright at 1 on 1's, but I can usually beat a goalie since I have an accurate wrist shot.

I play a little like Forsberg if he took shots more and didn't always look to pass, I also don't see things NEARLY as good, but I like to think I protect the puck well, and I can usually take advantage of any oppenings.

I'm not very good defensively though, I would like to work on that.

-Defensive forward (really good at PKing)
-I pass a good amount, rack up a lot of assists; so Playmaker as well
-I have a good wrist shot and backhander, but I can't do a slapshot to save my life
-I have really good balance, and I'm good at fighting along the boards
-Good at all types of checking

I'm not that fast, but I'm working on it, my strides weren't long and strong enough; I'm starting to improve on that

Attitude: I don't really trash talk, but when I get pissed off because of some of the dumb **** the other team does, I'll let me know what I think. I also stand my ground if some big shot tries to get tough.

Im a physical stay-at-home defenseman. I don't have really any puck handling skills, but I can get off a decent (but usually inaccurate) slap shot. Some teammates have referred to me as a "tank" because Im short, but will go after pretty much anyone no matter the size and because I play through a lot of injuries (usually to do with my hip).

Physical defensive-defensmen, I try to use my size and speed to my advantage, I'm usually the guy the other team has to answer to if some stuff starts going down. The only time I score is from the point, my shots gotten slower and less accurate since I messed up my arm in a car accident a few years back, when I was younger I played a more wide open denfense, I would jump into rushes and sometimes carry the puck up to the other teams blueline, but now I just lurk back and wait for some hot-shot to try and come by doing some between the legs deke or spinarama.

Grinder...3 G, 7 A, 10 PTS, +2 in 11 games. 39 PIM to show for the effort :D

Potted more points last season, but played bad defensive hockey (-12). Been moved around the lineup and have finally found a role on our 3rd line as a stable winger to help a couple weaker forwards. I do miss scoring, but I'm playing better two-way hockey and if I'm helping my team out then that's all I can ask to do.

Speedster with decent puckhandling skills...but no real shots to speak of(power-wise; I have a pathetic slapper and a mild wrister). But the speed does it for me; I have 23 points in 11 games(15 goals, 8 assists) so far.

I've never been the most talented player on the ice, but I've been told by practically every coach I've had that I have one of the best work ethics and best hockey minds on the team and I take pride in that.
I made my living in high school in front of the net putting away the garbage (was actually 2nd on the team in scoring in my senior year which is still hard to believe) Now that I'm in college, I play a much reduced role on the bottom lines but I enjoy going out there and being a pest.

Pretty balanced, I guess. I'm not great at positioning, but I try hard, and try to lead by example. If the shots there, I'll take it. I like to go behind the net to set up goals. I have good skating skills. Really easy to knock down though. Pretty fast. Never been the guy that gets all the spotlight, but I can do things behind the big man.

I played roller hockey in high school. I was pretty much the worst player on the team. I was a "4th liner/6-7th dman", haha. I was the guy who sucked, so he had to be the energy guy, the trash talker, the enforcer, the hitter, that guy. I was always talking to the younger kids, always getting penalties for illegal hits, etc. I was dirty most of the time, only if the game was going that way though. I had a few goals, maybe 4 or 5? I'm a quick skater, I pride myself in that, and I can hit okay for being as small as I am (5'11, about 135 - 140). I just had fun, I skated as hard as I could, gave my all and felt I always had to earn my spot. I loved it so much that I'm out of high school now and joining an adult roller hockey league soon, hopefully. So, I'm excited.

played floor in high school. Dual handed; although better on my right. Generally played left wing, however I always played better at Centre with the responsibility, but that is generally reserved for loudmouth puckhogs! Very Good pass, and a regular scorer who prefered sharper angles, and had a good wrist shot.

On the other side I was small then and copped it a lot would go down regular not pleasant especially on asphalt, but always got up.

I dont play anymore .... however, when I did, I would say Bryan Marchment. I love the game so much and I loved playing. Hurting people was almost as high on my list as winning the game.

I was strictly a Defensive Defenseman. Great endurance .... slim to none on offensive instict.

Maybe a mix between Samsonov & Jordin Tootoo. I have good speed and i can give a hard hit time by time. I do not have GREAT puckhandling skills, but they are decent(a lil above average). Have a good slapshot and wristshot. Win about 65% of my faceoff.I like to get in front of the net and along the boards. I don't like to travel the puck center ice and on 1-on-1.
