Here's what see and think will happen...

MARCHAND-BERGERON-PASTRNAK
?: DEBRUSK, BJORK, HEINEN, CELHARIK or a trade (LANDESKOG)-KRECJI-UFA-VRBATA (short term deal, allows a guy like SENYSHN time to season)
BELESKEY-JFK-BACKES
KURALY/VATRANO-NASH-ACCIARI
HAYES will be buried or bought out, SPOONER hopefully part of any trade bur more then likely is gone either way.

CHARA-CARLO (Cassidy likes the chemistry)
UFA, maybe ALZNER-MCAVOY (KRUG is not a good fit with this kid IMHO)
KRUG-K. MILLER (MCQUAID will be selected by Vegas)
MORROW-O'GARA (depth-MORROW demonstrated he can step and do a decent job as a depth guy)

I have a gut feeling C. MILLER is going to be part of any bait to acquire a top 6 forward, I suspect management is very cognitive the D is an area of strength and youth. I can see the Bruins taking another run at LANDESKOG...using various assets that would include...SPOONER, C. MILLER, a first and perhaps SUBBAN as bait, if all four assets, I hope they also land AJ GREER. If they do, the second line LW candidates (DEBRUSK, HEINEN, BJORK, CEHLARIK may push BELESKEY out). That said, if I'm DS, I insist the Aves take BELESKEY if there is a deal...LANDESKOG and GREER for SPOONER, C. MILLER, SUBBAN, our first and BELESKY (salary dump).

Result...
MARCHAND-BERGERON-PASTRNAK
LANDESKOG-KRECJI-VRBATA (1 year deal)
(DEBRUSK, HEINEN, BJORK, CEHLARIK, GREER)-JFK-BACKES
KURALY/VATRANO-NASH-ACCIARI

CHARA-CARLO
ALZNER-MCAVOY
KRUG-K.MILLER
MORROW-O'GARA

RASK
????-DOBBY, MC, VLAD

CHARA will retire after next season making room for healthy competition- ZBORIL/LAUZON/LINDGREN.

RASK
KHUDOBIN (Someone may push him out at camp)

Maybe a small UFA signing, maybe two. Other than that, let the youth enter the lineup. I would love a Matt Martin type ala Toronto. He's a big factor into what they are doing over there. That team feeds off of him. I would definitely overpay for a guy like Ryan Reaves via trade.

And then send Hayes away to a deserted island. Maybe Tom Hanks can play him in a movie soon.

But you think he's worth a 3rd rounder or a 4th liner.

Maybe we can still get Zach Kassian for him? That should help our scoring!

I'm flattered you are keeping track of my posts, but, in the future, try putting the date they were posted with the post to give a true picture. The Kassian was from 2014 and, by the way, he is still playing in the Stanley Cup this year.

You have been very vocal about disliking or wanting to move Krug at any opportunity. I don't think people need to keep track. Also there is a post history just by clicking your name. But for the most part, I have noticed your dislike of him on this team.

Anyone is movable, but we only move Krug if we get someone better. Moving him for spare parts or to fill another hole, creates another hole.

All Bruins living in Boston SHOULD all be eating at Tresca, around 8pm on July 19th for Mrs. Odaat and I have a reservation:)

Like it matters? If anything, it proves that every year, you want him gone.

Also, you claimed he's not worth a 3rd rounder or a 4th liner just a few months ago. Feel better?

Here's my list:

1- Trade Beleskey + pick to LV
2- Buyout Hayes
3- Trade one of K.Miller/McQuaid. They are redundant.
4- Solve once and for all the backup situation.
5- Re-sign Moore. Very good on PK and spell Bergeron on faceoff.
6- find winger for the diva named Krecji.
7- Let Spooner go...
8- Give a chance to our kids to won a spot on the NHL roster.

Man there are teams with crazy protection issues that have LEGIT forwards in excess. This is the time.

Prices will be lower in a lose them or trade them situation.

That's awesome. Will you be in Boston July 6-9?

19th through the 21st, Petty show on the 20th and will be officially my 50th TP show:yo:

When I was a touch younger, more foolish and knee deep in skullduggery , I took my show on the road and followed him through much of the US and back into Canada. Got off the plane in Ottawa 17lbs lighter than what I left and it wasn`t because I was hitting the gym at each stop:laugh:

Vegas...

Wondering if they would be tempted by something like...

Rights to SPOONER and SUBBAN, plus C. MILLER and HAYES' salary dump in exchange for leaving C. MILLER unprotected? Clears some cap space and gets rid of the albatross that is Jimmy HAYES. I suspect SUBBAN's status as the next one in goal is no longer, McINTYRE seems to have passed him. Might as well try and parle the draft choice we used to get him.

Something like this sets the table for other moves...IE

I'm sure the Bruins would still love to add Jakob TROUBA, heir apparent to CHARA on the LD. Offer the Jets ZBORIL, VATRANO and a 1st for TROUBA and a third.

Sign Radim VRBATA short term (1 year deal @ 3.5), gives SENYSHYN time to season.

In 18-19...SENYSHYN takes VRBATA's spot, one of BJORK or HEINEN takes KURALY's, KURALY moves to centre. If both are ready and CEHLARIK proves he can play at the NHL level, try and move BELESKEY or buy him out. NASH moves on.

MARCHAND-BERGERON-PASTRNAK
DEBRUSK-KREJCI-VRBATA
BELESKEY-JFK-BACKES
KURALY/CEHLARIK-NASH-ACCIARI

CHARA-CARLO
TROUBA-MCAVOY
KRUG-MCQUAID/K. MILLER...K. MILLER and MCQUAID are redundant IMHO so maybe you sign a cheap #7 guy and deal one of them, personally I think MCQUAID is the more rounded player. MCLLRATH at 850 k X 2, the guys is a beast and versatile enough to be a fourth line RW if need be.

I suspect MCAVOY's emergence will eventually push KRUG out, at least by the time his contract is up. LAUZON, LINDGREN etc will be ready to step in.

I agree with everything you say, hard to choose between Miller and McQuaid. I think Miller is the better player, but hesitate in losing McQuaid's toughness.

It doesn't cost anything to pay attention!

Seriously, where do I relate I want to get rid of KRUG? KRUG's deal expires in three years, so during the season of 19-20, brass will have to make a decision because of a thing called the salary cap. Guys like MCAVOY and CARLO, and TROUBA if we managed the trade, will be due for big raises between now and then. It's natural progression a la Johnny BOYCHUK, teams have to strike a balance between younger, cheaper players and guys that play their way into BIG raises via free agency, particularly UFAs, like KRUG probably will after this current deal. That's why it's important to have guys like LAUZON, LINDGREN, etc seasoning, the problem is LAUZON may be ready before KRUG's existing contract expires, LINDGREN I see as more 2-3 years down the road. I suspect LAUZON may through a wrench, albeit a good problem to have, into that plan because I think he will develop into an NHL D-man quickly, CHARA's spot opens up after next season so that may prove to be the solution to finding room for him.

Some of your listed items look OK. But your #8 contradicts #5. If Sweeney is going to give the likes of Kuraly and JFK a chance to win a job, Moore's presence is a hindrance.

#7 "Let Spooner go......". You do realize the he has value, right? At least he can bring back a pick.

But he doesn't have anything against Krug...

One would think that people would have seen how much the B's missed Krug in the Sens series.

Intriguing possibility. Likely only one experienced D man on the Bruins roster that would fit the Bolts ask. Story is from the PRohockey site but the rumor is attributed to Brooks.

"New York Post’s Larry Brooks reports that the Tampa Bay Lightning are focusing on moving forward Jonathan Drouin this offseason for a top-four defenseman. He continues to say that the Anaheim Ducks is the likely trade partner for the Lightning. The 22-year-old Drouin is coming off a breakout season for the Lightning in which he scored 21 goals and 32 assists for 53 points. Despite his success, Tampa Bay is overloaded in quality forwards and could use a trade like this to balance out their rosters, especially with the NHL Expansion Draft approaching."

My bad, I wasn't accounting for Trouba's hypothetical cap hit.
