What kind of player are you?

depends on the level.. playing university practice squad time i was a dump and chase, finish your checks grinder...

playing mens league hockey am the second line center, and we are definitely a scoring line... only problem is that being lazy and only playing once a week has removed a step from my stride...

i'm good in shinny where quick passing looks really good, but i loose my vision under tight checking... however i've always been a great hitter and a hard body to move... especially given my size (5'10, ~185), when i was playing AA rep in the mid-late 90's drew peca comparison in how annoying I was to play versus...

obviously he became one of my favs....

but clearly i don't approach that level of talent... more on the heart scale and someone who watched and played way to much hockey.

I'm a playmaker. I pride myself with being aware of what's going on around me and getting the pass off quickly to a streaking scorer (streaking dangler just sounded soo wrong).

I also love playing the PK and I'm pretty darn good at it.

I am a small goaltender at 5'7, catching right and playing a butterfly style game. I try to cut angles as much as I can, but I definitely have to ''make'' the save as I'm not big enough to let the puck hit me. My strength definitely lies in my legs; who are very strong which enable me to move around the net very quickly and making some incredible pad save. I have a good to great blocker, but my weaknesses is my glove, who's ok to mediocre at best, and I let go some weak, between the leg, goals.

NHL comparision: José Théodore, no doubt

Playmaker/grinder, I'd say. I'm all about getting in deep to the zone to set everyone up in front of the net or dishing it back to the blueline, then parking in front of the net for deflections and garbage.

I'm somewhere between a dangler and sniper. I do like to stickhandle up the ice, and can usually get around most of the players, but I will always shoot the puck (probably 5 shots on goal per game when our team averages 20-30 and that doesn't count another few shots that go wide). I don't pass as much as I should. My skating is decent for my level but I'm small and have no stamina whatsoever.

So I would probably be a PP specialist, or a dangler.

That's kinda how i play once i get into the offensive zone. Though im not good at defelctions. Im trying to change up my game and be a bit more selfish and try to dangle more, but it usually doesn't stick and i just pass the puck. I play on the same line as my brother right now, so he always wants the puck and i give it him.

I skate like Happy Gilmore. Definitely not the best but my shot can be ok.
Got power. I play RW.
Probably a Grinder. I like to dump the puck in and chase after it. I don't fight though.

Bench warmer and 4th line D-man relief.

I've been told I have skills I just lack confandance. But then again I'm playing with past pros from the European leagues, ECHL, OHL, and guys who played AAA in high school, in Canada.

I play a very conservative defense. I'm still trying to find my shot consistently.

As a goalie, my "style" is most like a dying fish out of water - flopping all over the place. Self "taught" as an adult. Have the stick handling ability of Irbe but unfortunately that's where the similarities end. Still use a straight stick (catch left and shoot right). My skating in goalie skates is adequate at best.

As a defenceman, I'm a defensive defenceman. Learned as a kid. Used to be a real digger in the corners, but don't put as much enthusiasm into it now (old and out of shape). Still stupid enough to block or try to block any shot. Most games I don't get more that a couple feet over the offensive blueline. Don't have much of a shot - you could time it with a calendar, not a stopwatch.

I would compare my game to a Hemsky/Forsberg hybrid.

I just started skating a month ago and so I'm new to playing ice hockey. I have pretty good moves and I protect the puck well but I can't even stop properly yet. It's weird, I find stopping/braking and skating backwards/lateral difficult, yet spin-o-ramas and dekes (puck between legs deke) are easy for me to pull off.

In non-competitive games, i have been told i play and skate like evgeni malkin.

In league games, i play like Mikko Koivu (whom i despise, mainly because he plays for the Wild), the glue of my line, defensively responsible, offensively creative, hard shot and i agitate the hell out of the opposition.

depends on the day I'm playing.

If the team I'm playing against is clean, I'm your typical third liner. Good on faceoffs, defensively responsible, not the best of hands, but an accurate shot that'll get you 15-20 goals a season, along with another 20-25 assists.

If the team I'm playing against is a bunch of cheapshots who will clutch, grab, and hack, then it's another story. If I have linemates that can score, then I'll ditch the clean play and turn into an inline version of Jarko Ruutu. Is it effective? If it wasn't, I wouldn't be doing it. Typically its not my style except for maybe 1-2 games a year.

Depends on the level. When I'm playing in extremely high levels, I'm a first line winger, with a good shot. If I go a bit lower, I'm a total dangler. I have great hands, I just don't use them often at higher levels.

When I was a yute, someone already named this but I liked the term, Power Forward Playmaker.

Now, just a bad player.
