Can this be fixed ?

The Ad container should remain a fixed height even when initially empty so it doesn’t jitter the page after the ad loads. Even if it’s empty just keep an hf banner in there so the page never jitters.

Seems like this user is telling you how to do it

Ads are one thing.

But the posts moving when they pop in make the site impossible on smartphones.

Probably? Messing with ads is generally a little outside my purview. It also might depend on where this happens.

Does it happen on the "forum view" (IE the homepage and the thread list inside a forum) or the "thread view" (inside a thread where you see posts) or both?

The ads are driving me nuts, especially when it messes with where you left off reading. Otherwise, I’ve mainly adjusted.
