In the Yzerman era, selecting Slater Koekkoek over Filip Forsberg.

All time, probably the GM shuffle and their personnel decisions during the Bill Davidson era

Jets 1.0

Item # 1) When GM John Ferguson changed the design of our uniforms when the team joined the NHL from the WHA. We were stuck with the Rangers rejects that Ferguson had brought to New York when he was their GM but which they later discarded after he was fired by them. It was disappointing not only because they were awful looking uniforms but also because Edmonton and Quebec did not change their uniforms when they joined the NHL (with the exception of the logo colors for the Oilers).

Item # 2) When the Jets traded Bobby Hull to Hartford after coach Tom McVie wouldn't let Hull dress for a Saturday night nationally televised game against the Montreal Canadiens because Hull didn't arrive at the arena 1.5 hours prior to the start of the game. The start time was normally 8 p.m but this one had been moved up by an hour to 7 p.m because it was being televised. Hull still got there and was dressed prior to the game start time but McVie refused to let him play.

As a Canes fan--drafting Jack Johnson just to stick it to Illitch--knowing he probably wouldn't have signed with Carolina anyways--and then messing up the trade by not auctioning him off to the highest bidder.

Trading Ladd for Ruutu--up and coming player for a more veteran player wearing out his welcome in Chicago with injury issues--classic JR.

Signing aged and decrepit Aaron Ward for one more go 'round instead of signing Dennis Seidenberg for less money.

Trading away decent assets for draft bust Bobby Sanguinetti....just why?

As a Flames fan, by far the worst decision was to hire Mike Keenan as coach. That was embarrassing. D Sutter is a great coach, but he set the Flames back as a GM.

Bruce McNall for all his shenanigans that led to defaulting on his $90mil loan and the subsequent discovery of the huge amounts of fraud he committed in 94, effectively forcing the complete dismantling of a competitive Kings team who then go on to languish in mediocrity for nearly 20 years.

The flyers blacklisted Eric Lindros for a decade, pretty much doing everything they could to wipe him out of the team's history like his tenure never existed.

All because they misdiagnosed a concussion and he had the nerve to call them out on it.

Former: Trade Roy over Firing Tremblay (Never it will be forgotten)

Now: Still a bit sour over trading the Tarasenko (David Rundblad) pick but we also have Turris, so it makes me feel a little better about it

In hindsight trading for Kessel hurts, but I think it was a defensible trade at the time.

Rask for Raycroft though... oi oi oi
