That's an article by La Canfora, and I can't remember the last time he had a scoop on anything. He might as well be Eklund.

contemplating disciplinary measures in line with those imposed on teams in recent seasons for infractions of game-day rules … that could mean a fine in the hundreds of thousands of dollars and potentially the loss of reduction in value of a draft choice, typically a lower level pick.

That would make a lot more sense if the NFL believes the Patriots broke the rules, but didn't have any nefarious intent.

From where I view this stuff, (on the periphery, because I just don’t care about any of it) this sounds like nothing more than a popcorn fart.

Because it’s the Patriots, the league will do something but likely nothing major so they can say they acted accordingly
