Ya except the Seahawks have a HOF coach/QB combo

But their defense ain't what it used to be.

This is not sustainable. They could easily be 4-4. They are a 1-man team the likes of which I have not seen since Randall Cunningham's Eagles.

Jimmy G was awful, aside from the bad clock management he cost the game. Bad fumbles, bad pick, nearly threw another 4 picks.

I don’t trust him to take the Niners very far in the playoffs.
Jimmy G lives off the 49ers running game and their great defense. He is very average.

Seattle have a future HOF QB and head coach at the helm.

They’ve done this before.

the defense ain't what it used to be.

This SEA defense- I can't see it making it to the NFC-CG.

It's Russ and pray for rain.

Garrapolo just consistently underwhelms me.

He did not look comfortable at all at the end of regulation/overtime.

It doesn't help that he didn't have any trusted receivers out there. A few horrible drops in this game, one ended up being a pick. But going to OT against a 7-2 team when you don't have your 2 best receivers and one of your best offensive linemen says the Niners are for real.

There is some truth to Seattle being lucky. They are +21 point differential and 8-2. That is nearly unheard of. In the past with their great teams they were much higher.

The best player in that game was Jadeveon Clowney. He was a one man wrecking crew.

People ragging up Jimmy but he did have more passing yards than Wilson and Wilson had all his receivers. So you have to either admit that Jimmy was on par with Wilson this game or that the Niners defense is 100 times better than the Seahawks.

Jimmy made some horrible throws. If Wright and Wagner could catch it never goes to OT.

True but his receivers also missed some easy catches that could have resulted in more points. They make those catches and he passes for over 300 yards. One of his picks was a pass that went right through the the receivers hands. And Seahawks turned that into 7 points. If he makes that catch the ball is inside the Seahawks 30. Another easy drop on 3rd down would have given the Niners a 1st down around the Seahawks 15. Instead they settled for a FG. And they had another one Samuel dropped that would have given the Niners a 1st down inside Seahawks territory.

Jimmy wasn’t going up again the SF front 4. But he had all he could handle against Clowney.

Jimmy despite being in year 6 ( same draft class as Carr) has just 18 career starts before this game. Wilson is in year 8 and started every single game has 122 starts. You can see the difference when they get a bit of pressure and how they handle it.

Goff has more starts than Jimmy. Same things said about Goff apply to Jimmy. Great DLine. Running game (before Gurleys issues). Without that they aren’t the same QB.

Was talking about Mostart or whoever that clearly got the first down before someone moved him back

It was before the 49ers missed field goal
The call on the field was going to stand given that there wasn’t an angle to over turn the call on the field. Did seem like the other official was going to spot it as a first down but the other official places it short.

SF could have gone for a QB sneak on 4th down. Jimmy is a big guy that should be able to get the length of the football on a sneak. But the safe play was to let the kid attempt the FG given was perfect the tying one was.

Yes the Niners defense is much better than the Seahawks but it didn't help matters that Jimmy was without his 2 best receivers. Niners were moving the ball with ease until one of their key offensive linemen went down and then Sanders. And then those receivers getting the passes Sanders would be getting were dropping easy catches. Totally changed the game.

They should have threw the ball on 3rd down instead of running it. Probally pick up an easy 1st since the Seahawks were expecting a run. a 47 yard field goal is alot for a rookie kicker under that kind of pressure. Kickers in general are so unpredictable that I think it's safer to just go for the touchdown if that option exist.

One of the craziest games I've seen in a long time

Seahawks shoulda/coulda put this game away several times but kept screwing up

They were lucky to get the ball back late in OT and finally made it count

What a game!

how many wins do you think this SEA team has with the same roster but a different QB?

Probably 4.

Rams, Browns and Bucs are 3 games they lose if not for Wilson heroics. That's just the ones I can think of without looking up.
