Big Game Story: WCSF’s Round 2. Prior to Game 4, Los Angeles Kings coach Darryl Sutter downplayed the notion of momentum being big in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, but the Kings have certainly experienced the ebbs and flows of it dating back to the first round. They fell in a 2-0 hole against the St. Louis Blues, then swept the next four games to advance. They extended their postseason win streak to six by jumping ahead of the San Jose Sharks 2-0 in the Western Conference Semifinals, but now the Sharks have taken two in a row by 2-1 scores and are feeling good about themselves heading into Game 5 at Staples Center.
KINGS need to remind SHARKS, KINGS FANS and THEMSELVES which team just won a Stanley Cup Championship. GO KINGS GO !!!

- UPCOMING WCSF PLAYOFFS SCHEDULE -
2013WCQFScheduleRnd1_zps3a0a21a6.png

NOTE : Regarding LARGE SIZE IMAGES / YELLOW RE-SIZE IMAGE BARS ABOVE PICS, let me offer up one nice little suggestion ...
This will get rid of those pesky yellow resize bars over the top of some larger pictures ... as they annoy the hell out of me and maybe they do you also ?
- Go into/click on your "USER CP" {control Panel} up top left in the red bars
- on the left under 'Settings & Options' click on "Edit Options"
- scroll down to 'Thread Display Options', and then 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- click on the 'Drop Down List Box' over on the Right of 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- select it to "KEEP ORIGINAL SIZE"
- SAVE your selections !
There ... now don't that look MUCH BETTER

I really think the team that wins this game will win the next one too, so pretty please with sugar on top, make a 60 minute effort and play to win.

The most exciting part about Kings hockey is trying to figure out which team is going to show up each night. A strong 60 minute effort would be nice for a change.

Kings defenseman Drew Doughty scoffed at the notion, put forth by Sharks forward TJ Galiardi, that goalie Jonathan Quick engages in “a little embellishment.”

“It’s not even playoff talk,” Doughty told The Times after Thursday’s morning skate before Game 5. “It’s just funny to even hear that from a guy who is the biggest diver on their team. Like it’s just ridiculous he can even say that, to be honest.

“But I don’t want to get involved in that stuff. I don’t think you have to watch many (Sharks’ games). You can just watch three of his shifts and you’ll see how many times he dives. There’s been times where even the refs are telling him, just get up, because he’s diving so often.”

Need to just run these guys out of the building with a 60 min effort tonight.

I can't stand that a once-classy organization publicly whines about everything and publicly defends scum like Raffi Torres. What were Thornton's comments? "I learned to keep my head up when I was 6?" I hope we cram those words down their throats tonight. GKG!

I fear that some players appear to be complacent, and I don't know whether that is due to frustration, exhaustion, or injuries, but they're all excuses. These guys know what it takes to win. It's not expected of them to steamroll through the competition, but at the very least I would expect a better showing and better effort from the drop of the puck.

Kopitar has to play his best game of the series tonight if we have a chance. Neutralize Thorton, should be his challenge.

Dont like the lines but the lines dont really matter if they dont play a full 60 minutes.

I have a feeling Quick is going to need to stand on his head tonight.

These are Start the Game with intensity and focus lines: play the system, do your part, trust your linemates, and forget about everything else. Sutter wants a little bit of a reset. Get them back in the moment. Get them back to "experiencing the moment" as he put it last year.

You'd rather he didn't feel the need, and in a perfect world, he wouldn't. Look around? Who's world is perfect? Who doesn't need a little bit of a reset from time to time? Who doesn't spend their time dealing with broken promises and missing parts and lost opportunities and focusing on that?

So here's Coach Sutter showing them how to forget all that and get back to playing in the moment.

Uh. Right then. I'm totally gonna leave this forum now and go kick ass on updating this affiliate article planning spreadsheet. I'm going to experience each and every row, column, and cell.

Looks like the Sharks are in Doughty's head, as well as Quick's. We're in trouble now!
