Tough series ahead for both teams. Winnipeg will have the definitive edge physically. The Avs inability to win a draw is gonna be painful as they are incapable of breaking up offensive zone cycles. However, if the jets let them get a bit of confidence they will start to roll offensively. Lots of interesting sub-plots to see in this series.

Avs have a switch they can flip come playoff time, Jets need to prove they can lock it down in the playoffs like they do in the regular season. Helle has a lot to prove in the playoffs as well.

Both teams are hungry and have something to prove in different ways. Both play a very different system that can expose the other if they don't play to their strengths.

I think it's going to be a good series and won't be surprised if it goes the distance. Just have to hope that whoever Dallas plays gives them enough fits to wear them down before whoever wins this round gets there.

Rick bowness system is proven in Dallas when he took them to the cup final.

Ricks system is a stingy, tight defensive game that slows teams down in the neutral zone and doesn't allow the opposition to gain any speed.

And the avs transition game pretty much is based on speed

Yeah it all comes down to the Jets sticking to that system. The Avs have a way of making you open up and play run and gun hockey. The Jets will be doing everything in their power to keep that from happening. If the Jets stick to their game and Helle is consistent then the Jets can take this series, if the Avs manage to open the Jets up and Helle doesn't stand on his head then the Avs have a really good shot at taking this series.

It's going to be one of those series where if one team can get the other to play their game then they likely take it baring some heroics in net. Either way it's going to be a fun battle of systems.

This will be a good test for the Jets. If they can beat Colorado, the team that has the best trio of game breakers in the NHL, then the Jets can beat anybody.

Hellebuyck needs to be solid. His previous few years, he has not been great in the playoffs. If Hellebuyck is not solid, then the jets stand no chance and this is going to be a short series.

I'm not a big fan of the road we need to take. Colorado is a tall enough task, Dallas is even taller as they are probably the deepest team in the league, then somehow beat whoever gets out of the Pacific. Not an easy road.

If Seattle can beat Colorado in a seven game series, then Winnipeg definitely can too. Winnipeg still wins in depth and maybe even coaching too.

But MacKinnon is possessed this year and he single handedly could win the series for the Avs. And we all know that playoff Makar will show up, so this could be the difference makers right there if Winnipeg can't contain them. It will be a good series though.

Avs in 7.

Georgiev is a horrible goalie & a headcase and if the Avs lose it's going to be because of goaltending. The Jets blowout of them last game is a bit concerning but I think most people didn't even have the Jets making the playoffs going into this season. The Avs have so much more talent on paper, it's hard for me to bet against them. It should be a very interesting matchup, kind of opposite teams against each other.
