What was the explanation for the last set of calls? The national broadcast didn't explain it, did anyone else?

The whole highlight watching thing ,I've been waiting for just one God damn Stanley Cup and then I'll cut back on my fandomship. Just one Stanley Cup. I turned 15 just after the Sharks first playoff run. I'll be 40 after this abrupt ending.

Been there, done that, have been following them since the 94 cup run, living in Germany I get up at 4:30 am for every home game and at a similar time for away games to watch them (on tape delay) before I go to work. I have been at that point a lot of times and many times I told myself exactly what you did: “Just one cup and then I’ll cut back”. It was close in 2016 and it was a great ride. It’s not gonna happen for me.
