Megna scores off of a net mouth scramble on the power play right after Matt Murray made a huge save on a shorthanded breakaway.

Nick D'Agostino with a nice point shot with Leblond causing problems in front, Farnham already in the middle of stuff, Luke Witkowski trying to get at him on the bench.

Someone to keep an eye/ear out for is Jonathan Marchessault for Syracuse. Not much NHL upside due to his size, he's a slick little player at the AHL level, good puck distributor with a lot of creativity.

Rough turnover for Syrvet, and he's forced to take a penalty. The puck is bouncing all over the place.

Slater Koekkoek is having a hard time controlling the puck at the blueline, he bobbled it about 3 times on that power play. Something to watch for.

WBS putting on a PK clinic so far. Syracuse has had two PPs, but no real threats either time. Carter Rowney probably had the best scoring chance.

Leblond, Dea and Farnham is kind of hodgepodge of a line, but they're generating chances. Leblond probably draws a penalty if he was someone else off of a net mouth scrum.

Pens get another power play goal, Carter Rowney tips a nice Archibald pass over Gudlevskis' blocker. Harrington picks up an assist as well.

Sheary is a shoe-in for a two-way deal but hopefully Rowney gets one too.

Kostopoulos makes it 3-0 just before the buzzer. This team is gonna make a serious run IMO.

3-0 Baby Pens, Kostopoulos scores on yet another power play. The Pens just threw the puck to the slot with a few seconds left in the period, Kostopoulos whipped at the net and it pinballed off of a bunch of bodies and went in.

Koekkoek was off for a really senseless interference penalty on Archibald. Late, late hit for no real reason with 20 seconds left in the period. Brutal game from him so far.

Yeah, Rowney has good size and he uses it well, also kills penalties.

The crunch are in a horrible slump... I wouldn't judge anything based on this series... They went 1-9 down the stretch giving up multiple goals in the third period of almost every game....

Dea, D'Agostino and Parent will probably sit. PL3 is a good 4th liner at this level.

The Crunch came out flying to start the second, but the 4th line had a nice cycling shift to calm things down a bit.

The Crunch are really pushing, Murray has been solid and the defense has done a decent job of keeping their shots to the outside. Kuhnhackl gave Kapanen are soft little pass at the Crunch blueline, thankfully he reached out and chipped it in instead of taking it fully, otherwise he would've gotten his head taken off.

Farnham gets stopped on a breakaway, but Kapanen gets a breakaway about 30 seconds later and he scores after it's poked off of his stick by Mormina. Weird, but we'll take it.

Had a couple of good looks and scored on a fluke bounce. He would have had an assist too, but Dea whiffed on a puck with the whole net open.

WBS with a late 5 on 3, Farnham, Dea and Leblond up front.

Farnham trolling, takes a bump from Angelidis and then gives the Syracuse bench the Miss America wave on his way off the ice.

Game over, Murray with the shutout. 4-0 Pens.
