Not really. There were conditions on the second pick.

I think Simmonds's value is somewhere around a 2nd, with maybe a +. But I think it's customer specific. Some teams will want him more than others. The ideal fit, IMO, is some team that needs him to score garbage goals on the PP even moreso than a team looking to add toughness. I feel like that's kind of overrated for somebody in Simmonds's role.

I was kinda going with a 1st round pick and 2 prospects as 3 different pieces. Then picking the 1st out of the lot. If Wayne Simmonds is going to get a prospect in return, it'll be better than either prospect Ottawa got back in return.
