Deals go down every year where worse players (or at least with worse reputations/histories) than Simmonds get way more than two late 2nds. Even though it is years ago at this point, I always point to the Gaustad for 1st deadline deal. Reaves for a 1st at the draft. The Nash deal from last season you mentioned. I'm sure I could come up with a huge list if I cared enough to comb trade histories, but anyone who thinks Simmonds can only get two late 2nds doesn't pay attention to the trade deadline at all because GM's get silly desperate. Doesn't mean he would get more than two 2nds, but precedent shows he can.
