He was totally riding the coattails of Morin and Sceviour!!!!!!

Well..partly true. He has definitely showed that he's a great support player and front of net presence. Like Coach Willie said, more skillful than expected.

Don't be surprised if his ceiling ends up being a 3rd line power forward type. Maybe put him back on the line with Scevs in Dallas.

Let's be honest. He could instantly do what Horcoff is doing, minus faceoffs.

That's pretty awesome for McKenzie, good linemates or not. He's gone from being a fringe prospect to a very real contender for a roster spot in the space of a year.

I see Klingberg had a nice season in Frolunda.

How good is he projected to be? Will he be starting next season in Texas?

Troock already listed in today's game notes. His number is 33. Wonder if he'll be in tonight. I'll have to try and figure it out with OKC's and AHL's ****** feed.

Yeah, I'm curious to know who was scouting him before he was drafted. It looks like a player with Jackson written all over him.
He came out of the BCHL like Benn so I'm guessing he was mainly a Holland pick.

Isn't that kind of a goalie number? That would look really weird on the ice.

thankfully he isn't the number one playing the most minutes every night, so don't have to look at it too often. oh, wait... :sarcasm:

People who are really big as kids get goalie jerseys in minor hockey. Usually keep those numbers throughout their life

That would be my guess as well. Churla mainly covered Minnesota I believe, but he also watched some WHL games. Assume that would also include BCHL.

Nice play by Guptil and Peters and Petersen to score the first goal. Guptil with his first pro point I believe?

Lines seem to be:

Hedden-Dowling-Glennie
Petersen-Faksa-Stransky
McKenzie-Vause-Ranford

For the goal ... Petersen was still on when Guptil-Peters came out.

Guptill with first pro point an assist on Petersen goal
