Glass and Suzuki are dropping like rocks in the top scoring categories in their respective leagues.

Last I looked Glass was #4 behind the big three, and Suzuki was about the same in the OHL. Now Glass is in the mid teens and Suzuki is almost out of the top 10 at #9. Still not worried about them. Teams draft players on what they think they will turn into in the next 5-10 years, not 5-10 months haha.

Though if you were to read the thread in the prospects board, everyone has Glass dropping way out of the top 10 in the (super, super early) redraft.

Consolation of sorts is that people are thinking Brannstrom would now be a top 10 pick. Must be because of the WJC

I think it's just a case of others scoring more than they are, they're both a PPG or better since the last update I did.

Wasn't he on the ice with Dahlin for the WJC?

I got to see my first AHL game yesterday. The Ontario Reign (the LA Kings affiliate) hosted and beat the Chicago Wolves 4-2.

Gamesheet: Chicago at Ontario - Jan 13, 2018

Reportedly, there were 8000+ fans in attendance. Not bad. (I can remember frequently seeing the Penguins in the pre-Mario era (early 80s) when attendance was barely that to see an admittedly miserable NHL team.)

Unfortunately, I was not sure which of the players on the Chicago Wolves were VGK players.

Tyler Wong (who, in preseason, scored Vegas' first-ever goal and recorded the first hat trick) was fast. Hyka (middle picture below) scored one of the two Wolves goals on a nifty play.

Overall, the Ontario Reign just seemed a little bit faster throughout the evening and a lot bigger. (Wolves Griffin Reinhart is a big guy, however.) Matteau did have a few nice SOG.

Lagace didn't play. Jordan Subban (see below), brother of P.K. and Malcolm, did play for the Ontario Reign.

The AHL is a fun (and relatively inexpensive) way to follow player development.
