Yes...the mediocrity-to-suckage of the last 8 years without proper rebuilding moves being made by the Canucks is infuriating.Should have been doing this for the last 8 or so years but Benning couldn’t seem to grasp the concept.
For four more years? If they retain another 20 % on karllson, they get at least a 1st?
I would think multiple first round picks which is also why I don't think we are going to see any third party broker retain any significant salary on a Karlsson trade. If they retain another 20 % on karllson, they get at least a 1st?
Benning didnt believe in having cap spaceShould have been doing this for the last 8 or so years but Benning couldn’t seem to grasp the concept.

I think the ownership always wanted a re-build on the fly and was never ready to commit to a scorch earth approach. Dim Jim was a yes man IMOShould have been doing this for the last 8 or so years but Benning couldn’t seem to grasp the concept.
$2.3M retention for 4 years is probably worth multiple 1sts.If they retain another 20 % on karllson, they get at least a 1st?
It really isn’t. $2.3M isn’t that much, especially for a bottom feeder like the Canucks$2.3M retention for 4 years is probably worth multiple 1sts.

It cost the Canucks a 2nd to dump two years of effectively $1.3M in the Jason Dickinson trade so do the math here.It really isn’t. $2.3M isn’t that much, especially for a bottom feeder like the Canucks
They got some value back in the young defenseman. Without him in the deal, maybe they only give up a 3rd or 4th.It cost the Canucks a 2nd to dump two years of effectively $1.3M in the Jason Dickinson trade so do the math here.

Stillman in no way was a positive addition, simply a way for Chicago to accept less salary/cap space. They got some value back in the young defenseman. Without him in the deal, maybe they only give up a 3rd or 4th.
Why has he played in 30+ games then?Stillman in no way was a positive addition, simply a way for Chicago to accept less salary/cap space.
Regardless, the Rangers traded two 2nd round picks to dump Nemeth and his $2.5M cap hit for two years. Retaining $2.3M of Karlsson would be completely dead cap space, not even a warm body to put in your lineup and hopefully turn around so you can move for value in the future.
Have you seen Vancouver’s defense? Why has he played in 30+ games then?
however this bottomfeeder doesn't fancy itself as such.It really isn’t. $2.3M isn’t that much, especially for a bottom feeder like the Canucks
Ad deadline… around $750K costs a 1st. Eating $10M over 4+ yrs is going to cost a lot more.It really isn’t. $2.3M isn’t that much, especially for a bottom feeder like the Canucks
