This is getting ridiculous. Apparently no one wants to win this game.

Phew. That was an ordeal just to watch it.

Medvedev was phenomenal tonight no doubt but Alcaraz was way off tonight. He's only 20 so there's still plenty of growth ahead of him.

Med will need to spend the next 36 hours in a hyperbaric chamber after that one, whole Joker will be about as fresh as you can be for a US Open final. Looking forward to a hell of a grudge match - Med snatched the Calendar Slam away from Nole in 2021 and both will be gunning for each other

Med shoved my prediction in my face, great win. Entertaining match, crowd annoying at points, but fun when players play off of them. Med is a funny guy.

Should be a great match Sunday, if Med can recover.

He only had one day to recover from the Rublev match which was probably more emotionally and physically draining than this one. The match should be a dandy..

I'm surprised and glad it's not another Djokovic—Alcaraz show; two were already enough for this year. Fascinating finals, regarding both men & women. I'm hoping for Medvedev and Gauff (two Russian wins would be a bit too much!).

I have a slight preference for Daniil, but I really wouldn't mind seeing Nole pick up his 24th GS at all. Let the best man will.

Rooting for Coco but betting on Sabalenka who I think will find ways to pressure Gauff''s forehand.

First set to Sabalenka in a real major- league slugfest 6-2.

As bad as Cocos forehand has been, Sabalenka's has been worse.

I felt like against Keys that if you just kept feeding her the shot she was go to make a mistake. But she hits so hard I guess that’s easier said than done.

Edit, and Keys kept making more mistakes too. LOL.

Purists avert your eyes: In 15 games, 38 points have been decided by unforced errors.

Gauff steadies her game and takes the second set 6-3.

Sabalenka's game is so volatile right now I think Coco has to be favored to take the decider.
