why are so many trading our only right handed shooting dman. Franson isn't going anywhere.

I'm expecting him or Gardiner to be traded for an upgrade somewhere else or a shutdown RHD. Percy will be ready next year so he can fill an empty spot for cheaper.

Gardiner will be cheaper next year so there's that. Also Franson is pretty bad defensively.

To me I look at this team the same way I look at it when I'm watching the Voice, you go with your strongest links and get rid of the weak ones going forward. Franson has some good qualities but lets be honest he's terrible defensively and your job as a blueliner is to be solid in your own end which Franson isn't. I'd peddle him off at the deadline for a 2nd rounder/prospect, this opens up some cap space going forward and actually strengthens our blueline, but then again that's just my opinion though.

Not saying offer sheet, but you'd have to think Reimer expects at LEAST Bernier's salary, but being as he's now more proven than Bernier at the time of his signing, he'll want 3.5m+.

We have no reason to pay two goalies top dollar, when we can just trade one, use bernier as our main guy and sign a back up for 1-1.5m.

But thats what i'm driving at, Reims is a RFA, he can want all he wants but he has no hand.

DN will either put something in the 2.9m range infront of him or trade him.

I could see Kulemin dealt before the trade deadline and Reimer before the draft.

If we are even sniffing a PO spot don't think for a second DN is taking anything away from RC.

Understand this as fact,

RC/DN are gunning hard for a deep PO run, best we can do is pray that DN does not go into idiot mode and trade youth/picks for short term PO push help.

he has arbitration rights I'm pretty sure. Nonis doesn't give him what he wants he can just go to arbitration, get at least 3.5 million probably more for 1 year, and then walk as a UFA

Well that is a option,

mind you DN can trade his a$$ out of town if he senses JR is heading that route.

He has JB as a fall back.

Frankly i'm not 100% sure that DN even wants to or can tie up another 2.9m in net, seeing our cap issues next year.
