Will be interesting to see what happens with Volk-Yair. If an immediate rematch is needed for whatever reason or Volk tries 155 again, Topuria-Allen would be tight. If Volk wins and wants another title fight, then Topuria is the guy after that performance IMO.

I can’t even recall the last time a judge scored a round 10-7. I thought the 4th was 10-8, but the only 10-8.

I mean I thought that round was pretty close for the first half of it and Topuria took over the second half. I can see a 10-8 just based on the way the round ended, Emmett getting pounded on for a while but 10-7 to me means every second of that round was pure domination with multiple near finishes... Idk what the judges are told but I have no idea how someone could see a 10-7. If anyone knows, feel free to tell me.

I love watching Topuria. He makes it look pretty effortless and I think he still has another gear. Credit to Emmett for his toughness because most guys would've been out of there early.

It's too bad they decided to make that weird Max vs. Zombie fight that has sadness written all over it. I would've loved Max vs. Topuria next but would also have no issue with him getting the winner of Volk/Yair.

The problem with the division is you can't use Max as a gatekeeper for a title shot because then no one will get a title shot (or if they do it won't look as good). If you put Topuria vs Max theres a good chance Max wins and ruins his momentum just like he did with Allen and Yair. It makes a title shot a lot less interesting when the challenger recently lost to someone who isn't the champion. Arnold vs Volk was a fight a lot of us fans wanted and now we either have to wait for it, or just won't get at all because the ultimate gate keeper did his job.
