This is worthy of its own thread for sure...

That could be it for the Summerslam match since it's in New York, which regulates pro wrestling and may not allow Lesnar to compete the same way they wouldn't have allowed him to compete if he had a medical suspension.

Ohhhh boy...

On July 7th, Brock Lesnar called Jon Jones unprofessional for failing a drug test.

I'll make the same bad joke here....does he have to apologize to the locker room?

What does it mean by potential? So its not confirmed and Lesnar may not have been juicing? Or its 100% and they just don't know the substance yet?

and BTW this is ridiculous for the UFC. I mean is it really the only way you can accomplish something in that sport is to start juicing? How many fighters have been busted so far and how many have not been caught yet?

This is getting MLB/Cycling levels here.

"Potential" for legality. Brock Lesnar can accept the violation, or appeal and they'll test his B sample which is the same urine. There's virtually zero chance that sample is clean if his A sample is positive. It's just for legality.

Summerslam is in 35 days and there's a decent chance they may not get the final results within 5 days if it's appealed by Lesnar, so they'll have to test his B sample if he does appeal, and then WWE will have to wait to see if he actually did get popped for something that's on their list.

The match with Orton is pretty much screwed unless WWE goes ahead with the match and openly admits that their Wellness Policy is a sham if you're not a full-time star.

Have him appeal, go through the match, and follow up with the appeal? Is that possible? Lesnar seems like a guy who doesn't **** around with that stuff.

It doesn't take that long. Even if it did, Nevada commission would implement a temporary suspension which the state of NY would uphold in that case.

UFC cannot catch a break. I'm not a fan of their promotion but they had some serious stuff going for them. The women's division took a huge blow when Ronda got beat. Then Holly couldn't dominate to start the rematch. Jones got suspended days before UFC 200. McGregor got beat taking on a different weight class when he shouldn't have.

Now if their biggest draw is caught with some type of performance enhancer... yikes. This just sucks because UFC is really hitting bad luck at a time they could fly to new heights.

UFC 200 didn't even outdraw UFC 196, 193 or 100 (which Brock was on).

If you don't think Lesnar takes steroids and is naturally that big you're simply naive and ignorant.

Now he looks like a huge hypocrite for calling Roman Reigns and Jon Jones unprofessional.

His words came back to bite him. How embarrassing.

Mark Hunt has asked for half of Brock Lesnar's purse ($2.5m) or to be released from the UFC as a result.

Well going strictly by WWE's wellness policy and with what they handed down to Roman. They could suspend him next week and he would be back before Summerslam.

Summerslam is 35 days. He wouldn't make it back in time when they have to wait to see what he tested positive for. He may also have his suspension honoured in the state of New York if the commission sees fit.

So basically Brock juiced to win his match.

Just listened to Meltzer's show on this.

The suspension will be handed out by the Nevada commission, and New York (and the other states like them) will uphold it. It doesn't matter what sport the suspension for, you just go on a list of banned athletes and you're banned from everything.

He also noted that WWE do have a defence when they get questioned about their (lack) of testing in that Lesnar passed his first 5 tests for the UFC fight, and failed on the 6th one. So it's not like UFC tested once and got him or anything.

I doubt the state would step on the companies toes if they suspend him according to their own wellness policy. If there was no suspension it would be a different story.

Also it is still 4 days. They will know what exactly is going on within that time frame to suspend him if nessicary.

This is a big money event for WWE, and NY. They will all do what they can to have him in on the card.

Did Meltzer say if the June 28th test was the 6th one? I know he was tested A LOT in the final two weeks and it could have been any one of them unless it's confirmed to be that last one. If that's the case, Lesnar is a huge idiot for popping anything before his final test when he knew that test was coming.

The thing going against WWE is that the language in the wellness policy pretty much makes exceptions for those who do not compete regularly, which Lesnar does not. Lesnar may have not been tested at all since 2012.

The language of the policy:
This Policy, as it may be amended from time to time, is applicable to and binding upon all WWE Talent under contract to WWE who regularly perform in-ring services as a professional sports entertainer (“WWE Talent”).

I doubt the state would step on the companies toes if they suspend him according to their own wellness policy. If there was no suspension it would be a different story.

...that's not how it works. Pro wrestling is regulated in the state of New York. If he's suspended in Nevada, he's suspended everywhere. It's the same way if he lost he would have had a medical suspension and been unable to compete at Summerslam.

It took 5-7 days for Jon Jones test to come out and reveal what he tested positive for. And that's because he IMMEDIATELY went for the appeal to see what his B-sample turned up. Nothing on whether Lesnar will appeal it or just take his suspension.

I'm surprised WWE acknowledged it. I half expected them to sweep it under the rug and build Orton vs. Jericho for Summerslam on the Highlight Reel instead.

Hunt said it all along "juiced to the gills", took the fight anyway bceause he'll fight anyone.

Pretty funny for the Brock hype train that was taking off.

Another black mark for the colossal disappointment that was UFC 200.
