Montenegro manager Ljubisa Tumbakovic is likely going to get the sack as he is refusing to manage the team against Kosovo, as well a Serbian-born players will boycott the game with pressure on all of them. Reports say Savicevic (Montenegro FA president) will sack any coach/player from not participating in this match from future consideration for the NT

A few months ago a Spain youth team refused to play in Kosovo for a qualifier and the game had to be moved to Switzerland. UEFA in their most recent executive meeting put a stop to that but it seems there will still be problems and it will be magnified if Kosovo manage to make the Euros (which is possible, they are in the playoffs)

Mods can erase/modify this if they want as I don't want it to become political...

Ukraine outplaying Serbia and up 3:0, Serbian FA again fooling around with a decent generation with their poor coaching hires

Luck of the Irish...

Irish had no business getting a draw, but thats football.

Shame on Denmark, they had plenty chances!

Holy crap. Ukraine completely rolled Serbia 5-0. Not a score line I’d expect in that one.

Only thing Serbia can hang their hat on is their two toughest fixtures are already out the way, but under Krstajic then have been poor and have mostly used that referee mistake against the Swiss at the World Cup as the reasoning why they were eliminated

Tough result for Norway, were winning by two but conceded twice late to earn a point at home to Romania

Poland remain perfect and have yet to concede a goal but that group is soft as hell, important win for Austria to get their campaign back on track

Just curious, what was the Spanish team's reasoning? Also political? I know Spain is one of the European countries that refuses to recognise Kosovo what with their own separatist issues.

Yes they don’t recognize the country, in the last WC qualifying cycle Ukraine played their home game against them in Bulgaria or Romania.

Two early games finished, Iceland beat Albania at home and for now have recovered after their horrible Nations League. Croatia win 2:1 over a young Wales team, for some reason this game was played at 3pm local time when it was 90 degrees. It was mostly comfortable for CRO but Wales had their moments and could have gotten a point. Bale is well off form, had 2-3 chances but didn’t take them well

Yeah I was shocked at how many 18-19 year olds were playing for Wales, and they were better when Giggs made those subs. Though I do think the heat had an effect on both sides too. Croatia didn’t press as much as usual

Ireland and Denmark have played 5 times in the last 18 months in qualifying and nations matches.

Denmark have 1 win, and failed to score in 3 of the matches.

Yet every time we gotta listen to the players act like San Marino just defeated Spain. They’re not as good as they think they are.

And Yarmolenko didn't even play. Shevchenko has them playing very well given the players at their disposal. Once Sheva leaves Ukraine, he should probably get a sot at managing a club at club, if he wants to.

Odegaard was good for Norway, dangerous in the attack with good passing and creating chances, wiiling to challeng opponents one-on-one. Hagi did well after coming on, involved in the build-up for the goal. I always thought the 2-goal Keseru left Ligue 1 a bit too early, he could have done even better had he stayed there.

No real surprises in these set of matches, Northern Ireland with a come from behind win over Estonia and top of their group with 9 points but their position is fools gold for now as 4 of their final 5 games are against Germany and Netherlands

Impressive win by Finland, and Bosnia could be in problems as their next match is in Italy, but they have the NL playoff route

Clearly, nobody is more stoked about Andy Herzog than Eran Zahavi. Seven goals in three now after being perpetual garbage on the NT for years.

Scotland going into the half against Cyprus at 0-0 is frustrating. Got to find a breakthrough.
