Same could be said about the draft quality. 2020 1st round is supposed to be stacked, so my guess is that a 1st round is less likely to be dealt this year than the last seasons.

Nobody is saying it must be a 2020 pick. Maybe someone goes for a 2021 pick. Time will tell what he goes for.

The Habs have 12 draft picks in 2020... they can spare one to make a deep playoff run!

They can spare a 4th, not a 2nd pick while in the middle of a "retool"/"rebuild" for another middle 6 forward

2nd + B prospect is still what I am hoping for.

Best case scenario I think is he returns a conditional first that is most likely to be a 2nd. Something like 2nd round pick becomes a 1st if the acquiring team makes the finals with Toffoli playing 75% of playoff games.
