The Bruins outshot the Caps 48-39. They had to score in the last 3 minutes just to tie.

That doesn't add up to Tuukka stealing the game.

All shots are created equal. True story.

41 of the Bs 48 shots came from an 80+ degree angle or from the blue line with zero screen in front.

That is a silly observation by cup chowder

They are going to celebrate with the gwg scorer. Swayman happened to just be there
It’s either a pretty good troll (ie joke), or the worst piece of sports writing I’ve ever seen. Not familiar with the source so can’t really comment on which I think it is.

The Bruins have been spoiled with their last two goalies. Yes you can criticize their game, not everyone is perfect, but it seems like the Boston media has a hate fetish for these goaltenders.

This is fun:

The Bruins celebrated with Jeremy Swayman before Tuukka Rask - is there controversy?

RE Tim, no harm, no foul. A great goaltender who's views our his own.

The single most important player in the Bruins Cup win. No Thomas, no Cup. Period.

As for Rask: an excellent, Vezina winning goaltender we have been lucky to have. However, there has been more than one episode which makes one question whether he is a championship calibre goaltender, and I am not refering to the "bubble incident."

He's the most polarizing player on the team, by far.

He has had two golden opportunities to win it all. Unfortunately, especially in the Chicago series, he has yet to rise to the occasion.

It's unfair, perhaps, but true.

Yeah, no.

2019: Games 1-6 he had a 2.17 GAA and .930 SV%

He allowed 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 1 goals yet the OFFENSE couldn't get anything done.

Lets not forget these stellar ES numbers from The "Perfection" Line

Marchand: 1 ES point, no ES goals
Bergeron: 0 ES points
Pastrnak: 1 ES point

They combined for 1 ES goal and 2 ES points, while ROR bent them over to the tune of 5 ES goals and 8 ES points on his own. Overall scoring they still didn't do their part combining for only 12 total points in the Finals (4 points each, barely 0.60 PPG)

2013: you have a better case for but its still not quite correct. Again Bergeron and Marchand disappeared (spare me the "Bergeron played hurt, what a warrior" reply).

The Bergeron/Marchand/Seguin line contributed 8 total points, 1 ES goal. Marchand scored ZERO points in the series and Seguin had ZERO goals.

The end of game 6 was a T-E-A-M failure. Everyone on the ice failed and let Chicago crowd the net uncontested for an easy slam home goal.

And not for nothing, but Thomas got bailed out against Tampa. Allowing 2.57 GPG and GA of 4, 4, 5, 5

Tuukka didn't get fazed at all out there. Cool as a cucumber in OT. While the Bruins largely carried play over the 26 minutes, the Caps did get a few minutes of momentum in there and did get a fair share of dangerous shots off, a lesser goalie may have fallen asleep.

By the 2nd OT, Rask was swallowing up everything his way whereas Samsonov became a rebound machine. And of course the game ended when Samsonov literally got caught napping.

The way he plays the puck outside his net is probably as good as anyone ever has.

Tuukka has long been disrespected by some here, will he give up the softie here and there? Hell yes, but when the Caps did have chances, he shut em` down, he can start for my team any day. Love what might be from Sway, let him learn under Tuukka for a year or so
