forced to allow gardiner to exit... pay a steep price to get a guy on retained salary for 1 year... thats a trade off

backfill with a rfa that will probably get more than kadri and be a worst player

im looking forward to a 3rd line in Toronto next year of Kerfoot/nylander/spezza... thank god its not our 3rd line

there defense next year has 5 guys maybe that we wouldnt barf at depending how much you like dermott as a bottom pair... and 2 of those guys are ufa

they limp into next year having not improved one single position... and headed for more cap hell next year

honestly im not surprised you think this is an improvement... lets see how torontos faithful feel when all the dust settles

I think realistically one of Krejci or Krug need to get moved. Would sell high on either this offseason..unfortunate ramifications of Backes and having to carry an expensive backup so Rask doesnt have the season workload.
