I just took the time to layout a 23 man roster... i am not bringing back any ufa... everyone is already signed except hamilton, spooner, connolly, svedberg. Not counting savard we sit at around 63 mill

If the cap is anywhere near 72 we have all the room we need and then some.
if the cap in nearer to 70 its going to be tight

Anything lower than that will require 1 big ticket player to be sacraficed

The lineup i cobble together...

Connolly/krejci/eriksson
smith/bergeron/marchand
pastrnak/spooner/lucic
ferlin/kelly/talbot
griffith/phillips

Hamilton/chara
seidenberg/krug
millar/morrow
trottman

Rask
svedberg

I'm sure they won't bring back almost an identical lineup, so you expect a little more space somewhere in that roster depending on who they move and how they replace him.

Looks like $71.5mil

http://www.thescore.com/nhl/news/753651

NHL franchises should have around $2.5 million more in cap space to build their rosters for next season.

The league's salary cap is set to rise to $71.5 million for 2015-16, according to commissioner Gary Bettman. The final cap figure could fluctuate based on the value of the Canadian dollar, but any changes are expected to be minor.

The $71.5-million figure is lower than early estimates, which were hampered by the Canadian dollar's recent struggles.

Better than a reduction, anyways
