Trouble plays right D
what we need is a top 4 left D

our depth presently on left D is Alzner, ugh, Schlemko, ugh ugh, and Davidson ugh ugh ugh
Webber Petry and Benn are slated for the right size
total nonsense

I'm not sure about the ughs. Alzner in the 2nd pairing is awesome. He has been a big part of the top penalty killing unit for 5 yrs. Schlemko and benn will make the best 3rd pairing in league. We need a top 4 D to play with weber and we're set.

Galchenyuk, Petry & ? (lots (Jets might want Lernout among the additional assets required))

for Trouba & Perreault.

Literally makes no sense as the only enticing piece Montreal had was Serg (and he doesn't even get it done without a hugeeee plus to him) can't see the Jets being interested in any player on the Habs. Plus isn't Montreal set on RD? Weber and Petry both in the top 4. The Jets blue line would look even more brutal after this too, could not see a more random fit

Petry + Gally + 1st

for

Trouba + Little ?

I don't know lol

None of your assets are of interest. You had two, but they were ruined by trading one away and signing the other to a monstrous contract.

Hard to imagine they'd have anything left to pry Trouba from the Jets, but crazier things have happened... Imagine that top-4

Trouba - Weber
Alzner - Petry

Ahhh... but you have to wait for the next Eklund installment:

"Trouba to Habs for Weber, Alzner, Petry"

So the Jets blue line is brutal?

"Most sources will tell you he wants to play in the states.

Covering his bases quite well. 24 of the 31 NHL teams are in "The states" gives him a high chance of being correct.

He's just like the "psychics" who give vague information and guesses and have the victim fill in the blanks .

A better fit from the Jets who would also be infinitely easier to acquire would be Toby Enstrom. I am by no means saying he's the better player he's just much more what we need (a PMD LHD) who is not terribly old just yet. A dream deal would be a combo of Perreault and Enstrom for god knows what.

Trouba would cost the moon and play below Weber, and Petry is a fine 2nd pairing RD.

This rumour makes no sense and is bad even by Eklund standards.

This makes a lot of sense for the Habs. They can draw from their impressive top 6 depth to address a glaring need on their right side defense.

Wait, that doesn't sound right...

can a sign and trade of Galchenyuk work for the Jets?

Galchenyuk plus a dman for Trouba and something perhaps?

I don't think it makes sense either unless Galchenyuk moves as the Habs really do not have a ton that the Jets could want that makes sense.

Galchenyuk is already signed to a crappy short term deal. No interest at all from a Jets perspective.
