I'd take Lyubushkin here in a heart beat. Could very well be a great fit on our D.

Chabot-Zub
Sanderson-Lyubushkin
Holden-Hamonic
Zaitsev/MDZ/Brannstrom

Brannstrom to me is really the odd man out on this team. We should really try and trade him and cut our losses

Marino would be an ok addition just so I can make Dan Marino jokes. He is great defensively but he has 0 offensive upside, he was given every opportunity to produce offense and never did even with long stretches as PP1 QB when Letang was out. It's funny how much better the Sens D would be if they just kept Demelo.
He would be the perfect partner for one of Chabot or Sanderson.

He fits the age range

Has an affordable cap hit for more than 2 years

Right Shot

Defensibly responsible

Marino is my dream acquisition of the off season.

Connor Brown?
Foligno was like 23 or something and an rfa. So we would have to add to Brown. I think it would be Formenton + a second and not Brown. It might be doable...depending on if we can get a LW in FA and trade Brown to fill the hole on the third line. Maybe something like this.

Tkachuk - Norris - Joseph
FA - Stützle - Batherson
****** - Pinto - Deslaurier
Kelly - Kastlic - Watson

****** - return from Brown and or White trades

Chabot - Marino
Sanderson - Zub
Holden - Hamonic

If we could add Deslaurier too I would like that. Lol.

Pinto is the equivalent

Lol that’s a bad take.

Foligno was Drafted in 06 and played 350+ games with the club before being traded.

Pinto has like what under 20 games played and is still a very raw prospect with a higher potential than Foligno had the time as middle 6 winger.

At what cost though?
For Marino I’d say something like

One of Brannstrom/JBD/Thomson + cheap forward like Joseph and a 2nd round pick

or

One of Brannstrom/JBD/Thomson + Brown 50% retained

white has a better contract then josh anderson lmao, i rather just buyout white then make that deal

You think pinto has a higher ceiling than Nick Foligno? I don’t know about that
Absolutely. Foligno is a career 3rd line winger who has broken the 40 point barrier twice including one big time outlier season. Pinto plays a premium position and if healthy should easily be better offensively and defensively.
