Nah, too old and too expensive imo. We need to aim for wingers in the 20-25 year old range. We're not contenders yet.

I don't see this as a better line up than the current one at all. Lack of playoffs experience in the top 6. Lack of veterans. Top 2 center, 27 pts in 70 playoffs games. Plekanec alone has 46 pts in 81. Plekanec might have failed playing as a first line center in the last playoffs but we all knew he wasn't one, doesn't mean we have to get rid of him.

Desharnais is actually the one that has to be out of our top 6, not Plekanec. We need Plekanec experience and versatility on our 2nd line.

I too like the Neal idea. Yes he did have a down year but is a RW who can pot 25 goals a year. But trading thomas for him is a side ways move. Thomas I think will retire a Habs. Hes so valuable to.Montreal.

Oh he is a 50-60pt player when healthy and I doubt preds get rid of him he was a beast in the few playoff games they played.

It would also make us a worse team. Bickell is a bigger Prust at nearly twice the cost. He's been a non factor this the Hawks/Ducks series to boot. So there goes his playoff resume.
