Man, I already brought up stats that show that Alzner was not this terrible D as some of you keep painting him...

The eye test tells me that alzner is that bad he’s got 4 years at almost 5 million
He’s not goin to improve.
He will get worse every passing year. Huge f*** up

Trade the 3rd to DET for 6th + 30th.

Draft Kota

Trade Max to NYI for 12th + Beauviller(probably have to add a 2nd)

Trade a 2nd or two + 30th to move up in the 1st round

Trade the 12th + something to BUF for ROR.

So draft 6th and 25th and get ROR and manage to hold onto 2 2nd rounders.

Last years was pretty good on trades. Then there was the year Lucic was traded I think it was 3 drafts ago. Not sure if that was the same one we traded Eller and got Shaw.

Of course they are click baity, but there has lately been lots of meat.

RE Patches for ROR:
One guy is a UFA in 12 months and the other is signed for 5 more years. I have no problem adding to get ROR who is one of the best 2-way forwards in the league (11th in Selke voting). He doesn't get enough love on this board.

And how long did it take Sakic to trade MD or Yzerman to trade Drouin.

You could be sitting on a trade for 6 months trying to work out the pieces get the other guy to bite, or one could fall in your lap and things have to go quickly.

The one thing we hear about MB is that he is always working the phones. Montreal's name seems to come up in every rumor. MB fails a lot but I don't think its from lack of trying. He probably has 10 tentative deals going on right now but none of them might come through because of price/circumstances.
