He probably is talking about Seguin when the Stars traded for him.

Kids have the talent it's up to them to get their **** together

The big difference is, Seguin would have been untoucheable if Boston's cup window wasn't closing soon.

Winnipeg should be building around Kane if he was truly a guy you build with...if they are indeed willing to move him then there are pretty big red flags.

David Desharnais (3.5) + Max Paciorretti (4.5)

for

Ales Hemsky (5) + Sam Gagner (4.8)

and send a player to the minors if it doesn't fit under the cap

This is friggin horrible for Mtl. I hope you are joking. The one below with Patches + Gorges for Yak is just as horrible.

Only thing that Oiler fans want from the Habs is Subban for Yakupov ++. (That's what I see 99% of the time)

When some of our fans fiddle around with the idea, they usually come back at us saying something around Edler.

I guess they want a deal around Yakupov's superstar potential/what he can be if he gets his **** together, and not what he is right now.

I think Montreal is right to call and see what the price would be.

Would you guys be willing to toss back one of Eller/Gallagher as part of the deal to edmonton? Yakupov would replace one of them on the kid line, wouldn't he?

(idk just thoughts about it from a canucks fan) :)

No thanks, that's just exchanging 1 and a half problem for 2 problems.

There is just no one from Edmonton that I want at the price their fans are asking, it's that simple.

This team needs a shake up ....

Pacioretty, Gorges, 1st. For Kane and Bogozian!

Then we have this lineup ...
Gallchenyuk, Eller, Gallagher
Kane, Plekanek, Bournival
Prust, Briere, Gionta
Moen, white, Bourque

Emelin, Suban
Markov, Bogozian
Tinnordi, Diaz

That doesn't make the Jets better, it'll be rejected in less than a minute.

Pacioretty+Gorges+1st round pick for Yakupov+1st round pick.

I'd rather have Pacioretty play with Yakupov. How about Gallagher + Gorges + 1st for Yakupov + 1st?

I'm not in favor of moving Gallagher, Yak or not.

Yeah I figured it wouldn't be a popular position to hold.

Even then I could see Oilers fans saying no to the proposal

Don't get me wrong, Yak has a higher scoring potential but Gallagher is just a guy you keep.
Guys I would be shoping and making calls about are:

DD-realy no suprise there
Briere-Didn't like the signing
Bourque-could see a handfull of guys playing the same roll
Gionta-Captain or not
Gorges-not a top 4 night in night out
Bouillon-coach's pet?
Diaz-Good puck mover and could have decent value
Plekanec-Love the guy but I would move him but prefer not to
Patch-same has Plekanec
White-Love his grit but
All prospect and draft picks-we can't keep all of them and for a good proven player? why not?
I have no idea of what management will do but Im losing faith in them.

Those this give legs to the Montreal in discussion with Florida rumors?

Florida GM Dale Tallon is here at the Rochester-Hamilton game

https://twitter.com/THNRyanKennedy/s...52324172861441

Supposedly Bergevin is there also.

Remember that McKenzie recently reported that almost every Florida player is available aside from 5 and that Tallon is looking for a new core of vets.

We should try and move Briere to Buffalo since they're bringing in old guys.

Excellent, I like that...

Rene Bourque (top 6 forward) + Nathan Beaulieu (top prospect) + 1st round draft pick in 2014

FOR

Nail Yakupov

I would do it, but not sure Edmonton would.

Galchenyuk Eller Gallagher
Pacioretty Briere Yakupov
Bournival Plekanec Gionta
Moen White Prust

The team loses some ability to battle along the boards (Bourque isn't well liked, but he does some pretty decent board work), but it gains talent that can only be had by drafting high. I'm not entirely sure this would make the team better in the short-term, but it could pay big.
