One thing I recall is that the people on HF overreacted when the Canucks traded Shinkaruk away. Maybe he can bounce back in a different organization since he's somewhat regressed under CGY.

I would think Rychel didn't want a 2 way contract or wanted some sort of guaranteed playing time so the habs just shipped him off for someone who would play in the AHL without issue. I'm assuming he didn't have the right ATTITUDE for MB

Shinkaruk can actually skate so it's a win for us right there. He has decent offensive tools but they never really translated to the pros. He's competent AHL depth in any case.
