Same. I don't think we have that much cap space right now than some would think.

It makes sense to dead cap Weber than LTIR him right now. It allows Montreal to accrue cap space over the season, and pay-out the rookie bonuses without LTIR complications.

By the trade deadline, 80% will have been paid and they'll have a better understanding of how much more can be achieved on the ELCs.

You LTIR Weber at TD, if we're a play-off team, you add. If not, you can gain assets by doing what Arizona did with the new space.

It makes sense, but it also means we'd have almost $10m in dead cap, which is why there were rumours about Byron being on the block again and Lehkonen not getting a Q.O.

I have to think it's being seriously considered.

You never hear anything with Bergevin until the deal has been made, so I’m sure there a lot of talks going on in the background. For sure a left winger and a defenseman. Maybe a couple of defensemen.

Really wanted Montour on defense so there’s one off the list but happy with the Armia deal. Still can’t understand why anyone is bothering to help Tampa escape from cap hell without making them pay premium prices.
