Wonder if we'll see any core players moved?

There was talk about teams wanting non-rentals, but so far not much action on anything you'd worry about losing after this season.

I still believe Lou is going to surprise all of us

- JVR (not until next season)
- Bozak? (offseason I believe)
- Kadri? (Not sure)
- Gardiner (just signed long term not too long ago)
- Bernier (I think we are stuck and he will play his last season as a Leafs)
- Rielly (no chance)

Who the heck would ask him if its surprising for a UFA to be traded from a bottom feeding team?

Not shocking given the media in this city, I guess.

He should have said very surprised. I thought we were right there.

Blues have to feel the heat a bit. I'm surprised they haven't made a deal yet.

The Caps should also be fairly active. It's rare to see a top team not make one big big move.

I'm hoping Kadri. Also have a hunch on Gardiner going somewhere.

It would be have to be a mega trade for the Leafs to deal Gardiner. I don't see it at all. Maybe in the off-season.

Kadri is more likely due to his contract, but to me it's also fairly unlikely.

I'd love to see a big and unexpected trade though. I'm always a sucker for those.

Well BS, I don't know how much Toronto based sports media you follow but the hypocrisy from them is astounding.

When it's the leafs and they are barely sniffing a PO slot, they beat the drum of add add add players and the mere mention of trading pending UFAs is met with heresy charges and "own rental" propaganda.

While their take on the other teams in a similar position are seen as wise for trading their UFAs and not adding players. =s

They beat the drum of their own self interest

leafs in the POs=s better business for them and theirs, nothing else.
