The only rule changes I've seen in the MOU are that guys who are injured on deadline day can be sent down after the deadline if they meet certain criteria. It's designed to fix situations like when Lee Sweatt was stuck in the NHL in 2011 simply because he was injured on deadline day and couldn't be assigned to the AHL.

That article also says the 4 recall rule doesn't exist which isn't true. The 4 recall rule does exist from the trade deadline to the end of the regular season with a couple of minor changes:

The fact that the article says that rule doesn't exist any more makes me question anything they say about the new rules.

Weren't there changes after they signed the MOU though? I remember reading that some things were re-negotiated and adjusted. We don't know what's actually in the CBA.

It would explain why Jensen and Sweatt are still not being sent down.

So now Hodge and his flunkies say Luongo is a buyout and Van is not a good team? What a bunch of toronto homers.

This guy is a joke on TSN, said Toronto is a good team and Canucks are a weak team LOL

Yea leafs in 6th, he said was a great situation, canucks right now were in 4th or 5th, and its not good over here.

These people do not even watch western teams other then highlights.

that's a pretty unimpressive top 4

not really. thats our top pairing in our stanley cup run.

And with garrison-tanev, our 2 more dependable dmen..

add a pp specialist to that d corp and remove edler's defensive issues, and its already better.

nvm the assets we get back with edler...

Jussi got waived and we didn't claim him so...

McBain would be a good pickup tho

We didn't claim him due to not being able to send salary back. We were reported as a team interested in trading for him. But that was before Roy. Don't know what the status is now, but there's a history.

I'm not high on McBain at all. But he's decent depth as a PP guy I guess.

a 50 pt dman that turns the puck over and over.

Watch him kill us in the playoffs again.

I only trade Edler if we're getting a player like Larsson or Hamonic back...doesn't make sense hence why we should keep him.

We had someone like McBain last year in Gragnani.

Of Jerred Smithson's two goals this year, one was on an empty net.
