You have no idea if this is the case. The Canucks have been linked to plenty of different players, including Toffoli. None of us have any clue what management is working on right now.

Maybe take a deep breath and wait until after the deadline tomorrow afternoon.

The Guentzel rumors make it sound the exact opposite of this.

How does Guentzel, the most expensive rental ask in some time, discount anything that I said? Canucks have assets to make some moves but in order to make any moves beyond 1.1m they need to generate capspace.

Dubas' insane ask from the Canucks doesn't have anything to do with the other moves that they can do.

The Canucks have added Lafferty, Zadorov, Friedman and Lindholm since the beginning of the season. If they don't blow their load at the deadline its not like they haven't done anything.

100%. I don't know why this is so controversial. If the Canucks aren't willing to trade the assets required for a top 6 forward, this type of move is probably the best they can do. And this team could do well to add some more grit for the playoffs.
