The deal stone signed is not good for Toronto when it comes to Marner. I wouldn't accept a penny less then 11m now.

It's a great deal for a marner comparable.

Marner is more or less equal to stone and is an RFA.

I pretty much learned it on the job, I suspect we're both a little older though..

The good old days. I also learned SAS in university. The menu was only half an inch thick. Blasted out scattercharts on the trusty dot matrix after I figured out the printer string. Who knew that eventually that SAS software would power Leafs Analytics eventually.

petan at one point was a top 3 prospect for the jets. He was ppg in the AHL last year. If he can play center we can have a small but skilled line of ennis-petan-moore for our 4th line.

I like it. Petan probably has just as much to offer an NHL team right now as Lindholm does, and he's a talented 23-year old who just hasn't found a way to translate his game to NHL yet.

Petan for Lindholm ain't too bad. Basically acquiring upside for a consistent, low-ceiling guy. The issue will be how willing Babcock is to playing him - guy was the Jets' Leivo.

It's a guy who really projects to be a center in a full lineup for a guy who would be a winger here... So Moore seems to be temporary until Petan gets here.

Petan can be here on the 4th line next year. He will be cheap. It's a great deal, but I don't know if it leads to anything else.
