Sather has made the Deadline show kind of a bore with all of his moves yesterday.

Phaneuf with salary retained to Anaheim has been speculated. Wonder who Montreal is looking at up front.

Tanner Glass for James Van Riemsdyk :sarcasm:

Seriously though, I'd figure Sather is done. Still not crazy about losing Duc, but I suppose Sather is going for it this year. I don't know if it's enough, but we'll see.

Not having NHL Network today is a death sentence.

Can't stream for more than 5 seconds on NHL.com without it freezing.

Vacation day from work though

I liked the Yandle deal a lot. Am I the only one who likes it 10x more after seeing what the Lightning paid to get an inferior player in Coburn?

My only issue is that it's a "win now" kind of move, even though Yandle isn't old. I really think Duc is going to develop into a monster, and I'm sad to see him gone. I'm also curious as to what that says to some of our defensive prospects. Not as strong as we'd hoped, and certainly showing the new direction this team is taking. I'm shocked Macilrath hasn't been included in a trade yet.

If they were gonna move glass you would think Maloney would of helped them out yesterday

I can see Boyle dealt Ib the off season . Speculating a 1.5 million cap bit for 2 years on a buy out

Yandle is a great player and the type of player we've needed for a long time, but giving up Duke definitely hurts.

Makes me wonder though about Staal. McDonagh isn't going anywhere and Yandle will get a big payday in 2017. I can't see us spending 18 mil on the left side of our defense.
