I think the asking price on Vermette is high; actually.
He has been the most sought after rental since about month 3 of the season; I suspect that dogs will be looking for a 1st, and they might bend for a 2nd and a good prospect.

Aside from the Islanders and Blues, I thought everyone was going to be keeping their 1sts this year. But there has been a whole lot of trading regarding the first. 4 teams have multiple 1sts (BUF, WPG, EDM, CAR). Wouldn't be surprised for AZ to get a 1st from Boston, they are desperate.

I think I'd easily trade ROR if Buffalo overpays for him. Surely Sakic knows he'll have trouble resigning him next year.

I think Boston would be silly to trade their 2nd's. But given how everyone is on the hot seat there, I think Chia is fighting for his job so he probably deal futures.

Totally agree, it just seems to be the one team that keeps popping up re: Kessel.

Makes sense Jagr is slow and is hard to play with, the panthers have little depth and should be able to find him his ice time.
