I think Dallas is a 5-8 team in the playoffs. A top offensive defenseman is more important than an average goaltender in Dallas' new system, and they solved that issue by picking up Brian Campbell. Alex Auld and Josh Harding have proven to be solid goalies in this league, and they'll win if their team can support them offensively. Dallas can score. They're in the Top 5 in the league (before adding Campbell).

LA wants to make the playoffs, but they aren't going to sell off the key assets they've accumulated through the draft. They expelled a team cancer for a younger player with a ton of potential. They should probably end up 7th to 10th .... hoping for a playoff berth.

Devils made no roster changes, so we'd likely be a playoff team that flames out early...

Also, we've got no real set lines with the way Lemaire likes to... rotate.

Top-9 Forwards: Parise (LW), Zajac (C), Elias (LW/C), Rolston (LW/RW), Bergfors (LW/RW), Clarkson (RW), Zubrus (LW/C/RW), Langenbrunner (RW), Halischuk (LW/RW)

Bottom-3 Forwards: Pandolfo (LW), Pelley (C), Peters (LW/RW), Leblond (LW/RW)

Defensemen: Martin, Oduya, Salvador, Greene, White, Mottau, Fraser, Murphy, Leach

Goaltenders: Brodeur, Danis

My team may have downgraded slightly, but I've also added Cody Hodgson and Vancouver's next two first round picks.

Agreed. Normally, I would say moving Carter is foolish, but Kesler and Giroux can make up some of the difference, and adding one of the league's top 5 prospects makes it a great deal. The picks are just gravy. With that said, it was a good deal for Vancouver as well.

For my standings lists:

Do I include teams that haven't posted rosters yet?

Do I rank my own team?

In the East, Ottawa and Philly should switch places since Ottawa won the the Northeast division.
