And I think, if Torts gone, it would be great if Bob Hartley would be our new coach. He could help many players to improve his play. Thanks to him Chinakhov progress. Kovalchuk said very good words about him still he was player of Atlanta Thrashers. His system of play is ideal for us.

Hartley is another old school as it gets coach, it's Torts all over again but worse, with some of his past methods I think he'd actually make Torts look like an angel. This is what you will get with Hartley. There's a reason most of these old school coaches are gone and the ones that are left (Hartley, Keenan) moved to KHL. The leadership style is rather different in Russia, players basically expect getting disciplined and shouted at. If not, they think something is wrong and their commitment isn't 100% anymore. It's a completely different culture and seems to mix with this type of leadership, whereas the rest of the world has moved on from that 15 years ago.

Torta has hired PP specialists (Marty St. Louis) and PP coaches (Paul MacLean) and it didn't work. I hope they don't hire an old school coach. If they do they might as well keep Torts. It's time for a fresh look.

I agree with you, though you still need to cite your sources.

Anyways I googled it and it's Porty's Sunday notes from today.

I knew that Torts had blown up the agreement, LeBrun reported it back then. But I didn't hear anything about an agreement to handle the trade in this offseason. I'm not sure if Porty has that right. I know he's not going to report full BS but he let's a lot of info out in an offhand way and I can't tell whether he has new info or he's just mistaken.

If it is accurate though, I'm even more pissed about how it was handled. I've been saying that we could have gotten a better fitting trade if we waited until after the first 15-20 games of the season. That was with my assumption that Dubois was going to be forced into the wait, and having to deal with the extra awkwardness that would entail. But if he was willing to make it work until summer, and Torts blew it up, that is extra gross.
