Toronto, Vancouver or Edmonton?

Which city do you think the NHL will choose as the 'hub'?

If Vancouver is out of the running, it should definitely be Edmonton and Toronto. Vegas is a horrible choice on so many levels.

I mean just for the exchange rate alone.

why pay for hotels and services in american? Every penny counts

Agree
but I suspect Vegas might heavily discount hotel, for the benefit of making money elsewhere (ie casino, meals)

edit: now see Mckenzie tweeted Edmonton and Toronto now favourites.

Richmond Hill, ON
According to TSN Hockey Insider Bob McKenzie, barring any last-minute complications, the two NHL hub cities will be Edmonton and Toronto.

This is the best decision to have it in Edmonton and Toronto. Both cities have multiple rinks that can be used. Toronto has Mastercard, Air Canada and Coca-Cola Coliseum. Edmonton has their entertainment Center. So you can isolate the teams best.

#’s have been low as of late in both Alberta and GTA lately too

WE freakin did it! We won it ladies and gentlemen! WE deserved it! Y'all already know what POWER means. That's power moves, and MONEY. All bout that paper and those benjamis y'all heard me. Be very glad y'all. This all made our organization even more RICH and they all want to like toronto and be IN toronto. Think how deep that goes. Now we are the centre of focus everywhere in the ice hockey world. Like we always is hockey's mecca, but now.... mayne we just got even BIGGER. POWERFUL.

Great! All the young fans in Toronto and Edmonton will be ecstatic that their heroes will be in town so they can see them play live and in person, get an autograph, maybe a selfie!

Oh, wait.

Not sure if true but I heard that the teams that play in the east will now play in the west and vice versa so it wouldn’t give Edmonton or Toronto an edge. Toronto would play in Edmonton and Edmonton would play in Toronto.

Makes sense, only a 2 hour time difference

Toronto has won the privilege of flying in a bunch of people with the virus, lets gooo

International flights from hotspots like the US, GB, UAE are coming into Pearson on the daily. I’m not worried about 1000 nhl personnel that will be tested before coming and daily once here, I’m worried about the thousands of Intl’ travellers coming here and ask to self quarantine on their own.

They are going to spend millions of $$s on testing and protocols, Im not worried. This is great for our and Edmontons economies. Huge win.

It was a rumor but it's not true. Eastern teams play in Toronto, Western teams play in Edmonton.
There is no advantage with no fans.

The only advantage is getting to watch the Maple Leafs play at 7:00 PM EST on TV, since they would still be playing their games in Toronto.

They likely won’t be playing all their games at 7pm, when they have 12 series to cover so 6 games a day.
