It wouldn’t look good but it might be their best option with MAF off the market. Frankly I felt like 2.8mil was a joke for Campbell given Mrazek’s salary. I would have thought he’d atleast earned a better counter offer somewhere between both parties rumored numbers.

Its less than what Mrazek got from Dubas a few months ago and now he has to bid against other teams.

Edmonton will pay for Campbell, and Caps might pay a premium for Kuemper to make a run. Leaves Murray for the Leafs. Some retention will make it work.
