I think I'm going to jump for joy the minute they (IF they) score a shootout goal this season.
Can't they just force Jagr to do it.?

I don't mind Zajac's play. His contract just sucks. For possession, defense, PK, I think he's a net positive in the top 6. He buys into the team over personal stats and I'm ok with that.

I'm more pissed at a guy like Brunner who has ONE JOB.

And everyone was screaming for Henrique when he WASN'T in the top 3 in the early games. They ALL suck in the SO.

Jagr hates it and says he isn't good at it. Hard to throw a guy in there that doesn't want to do it.

If we do this again I think it is time to give Loki a try though.

I don't care if Jagr hates it. He's at like 25% for his career which is best on the team outside of Elias IIRC.

Feel bad for Schneider, dude can't buy a win a this point. Team played well, I liked what I saw. Stay out of the box is my advice. Nice to get some puck luck finally, karma is beautiful, too bad she couldn't let us score again tho.

I would have rather used Tedenby in the shootout. Henrique should never be allowed in a shootout again unless we're in WAY extra innings. 1 for 8 in the shootout now?

I'm thinking maybe Tedenby could do something useful and act as a shootout specialist or something.

Tedenby couldn't even get any ice time in overtime, for whatever reason, so there's no way in hell he was getting a chance in the SO.

I think it's time we work on a new system. I'll give Pete a chance if he wants to change it. I'm tired of this 35 shots and 1 or 2 goals at most. It's been happening for 40 something games now. Maybe even 50.

Or trade for some guys who can finish in this system. No more Dagostino or Butler types either please.

He was very solid today, almost scored and almost won for us in the shootout.

Ryder's 6-37, I can't imagine throwing Jagr out would be any worse than Ryder (Jagr missed his only attempt against the Isles this year though). Volch might have a better chance to score in the gimmick than Ryder.

I just don't get why when you're 0-for-the season you run out the same failed lineup.

That's the point. They aren't gonna find any good players.

I think it's time to try something new. Tweak this system a little bit and try to find other ways to score. I'm okay with keeping Pete if he'll try that. This one isn't getting results. Just try something new. What have we got to lose at this point?

Larsson I know has scored in shootouts in practice when others have not so why not try him? Or is Pete against using a defenseman in a situation like a shootout?
