Plus Sandin likely isnt ready for the AHL.

He's as ready as Liljegren was. Getting him in the AHL asap is the best solution for his career. Gives him a leg up with pro facilities, diet, training, etc while bringing him along slowly.

No he probably isnt. One of Sandin's weaknesses is getting hit, and the AHL wont help him in that regard.
