Everybody knew the moment they acquired him he was going back to Montreal. And if you're insinuating the Leafs could potentially trade him back to Montreal to re-sign with them.... Why on Earth would Montreal give up any assets for the guy knowing full well they're going to get him July 1st regardless.


I struggle to see how this is thread worthy in any way, but especially to use Toronto as part of the title when they have no role in the events that are going to unfold.

Well, Plekanec is currently under contract with the Leafs. They might have some interest in retaining him, depending on the price. This rumour would seem to indicate that if they offer him a contract, he likely won't sign it (at least until after July 1).

You struggle to see how a rumour about where a player will sign is thread-worthy? The only reason it might not be thread-worthy is that it makes so much sense and has been so heavily reported that we can just assume it will happen.

You might not care about the information in this thread but it's a rumour, it is related to both Toronto and Montreal, and it is from a trusted source. If you don't care, ignore it. Coming in here and saying it's not thread worthy is so very pointless though.
