I went with Logan Day here, although I think all the others are worthy of top-20 spots too. Pretty impressive depth.

I’m not sure if people are aware but day also played right wing a bunch this season and that pumped his numbers a bit.

Can't go with Day. The likelihood of him ever playing a single game in the NHL is minimal, let alone being a legitimate prospect.

Kemp over Marino and Kesselring is interesting to me.

I definitely wouldn't bet on someone who doesn't even have the puck skills for the NCAA.

I'm not sure where the speculation came from but I've read here that Marino probably isn't going to sign with the Oilers.

It's probably just all speculation, but once his season is done he'll be a FA and can sign anywhere. This is why he's not getting any real consideration. He's a RHD he'll be highly sought after.

It seems like just speculation based on the Oilers right-handed D prospects. Marino has only said he wants to finish his senior year at Harvard.

There's definitely a good chance he waits until next August to test UFA, but I'd say he's still an Oilers prospect now and much better than Kemp.

Kinda surprised Safin’s fallen this far, he finished 10th in this poll last year and missed the majority of the year with an injury.

It's always going to be a case of "what have you done for me lately"... when people evaluate prospects.... many of whom we may never have seen play very often (or at all in some cases). Stats and comments from others who have watched the players often are the only reasonable guides in many cases.

Kesselring for me because imo he has the highest upside. No issues with Kemp leading here though. He's the safest bet of this group to be an NHLer, but I think his upside is limited to a bottom pairing, big, mobile defensive D.

Though a bit tumultuous, Wells had a pretty 'okay' first pro showing. Just a few years removed from a OHL standout, he still has an outside shot to be a thing. If he takes the next step and gets consistency and confidence, he can challenge Starrett and Skinner yet.

Kind of a shame Rasanen has fallen off a bit. He was looking good.

Picked Safin solely based on potential ceiling. If he was healthy this season I believe he would have been a lot higher than 20+ in the rankings
