Seems like they've gone back to a more analytic based model for this draft. It reminds me a lot of their 2015 approach.

They seemed to get away from it a bit in 2016-18.

Yeah I'm not usually one to care about size too much, but a 5"9 defenseman isn't great.

Quinn Hughes was an excellent skating 5'9 defencemen when drafted. Jets are kind of swinging for the fences and hoping he can be that type of defender. If not, it's a 5th round pick.

Enström was also a pretty decent 5'9 D-man for a while.

I fully support swinging for the fences with a player who may have high upside in the 5th round.

Yeah not having a 3rd or 4th really limited us this year. There were some good kids left in what would have been our range. One of those picks turned into DeMelo so can't be mad there.
