That's a very small defenseman. Hopefully Maurice is gone in the event that he's ready to step in. Would have gone Rafkin myself.

Yeah I'm not usually one to care about size too much, but a 5"9 defenseman isn't great.

Jets draft a small, offensive Swedish D. RIP to the "Jets focus too much on size and grit" meme.

Seems like they've gone back to a more analytic based model for this draft. It reminds me a lot of their 2015 approach.

They seemed to get away from it a bit in 2016-18.

Yeah I'm not usually one to care about size too much, but a 5"9 defenseman isn't great.

Quinn Hughes was an excellent skating 5'9 defencemen when drafted. Jets are kind of swinging for the fences and hoping he can be that type of defender. If not, it's a 5th round pick.
