Bottom 6 doesn’t show up for 6 games and we’re still 5-1.

Hopefully this is a wake up call. Haas shouldn’t be sitting and the second line needs a shake up. I absolutely hate depending on 2 guys for all our 5v5 production.
3 guys in fairness. New Lucic is pretty good so far.

don't know if they had too much turkey...but that was sloppy...especially with the passing and shooting.
on to the next game...but feel we let one slip here.

Not getting the calls from the refs or the bounces doesn't help but the Oilers weren't sharp tonight.

Also curious to see if there's a different crowd in the PGT tonight.

Perfect season over :( oh well, can't go 82-0

-nothing from the bottom 6
-Khaira sucks at hockey
-Special teams excellent again
-McDavid was fighting it
-same with Drai
-Crawford was good
-Hawks wanted it more

now it'll be interesting to see how they respond after a loss...2 winnable games at home here. Anything less than 3 points is a bad homestand

Still need goals from the bottom 6 that aren't coming right now. Dear god I hope this isn't going to be the same as last season.

Don't mean to pick on one player, but are people honestly impressed with Nygard? Apart from speed, he doesn't do much else. He's physical but still gets pushed down way too easily.

Well our special teams are still clicking, and Caggiula didn't score!

In a perverse way, I am actually somewhat glad that the Oilers lost. The markings of a good team are how they respond after a loss. Will they drop the next two out of three, or will they win the next two out of three?

Go Oilers!

P.S. ..and you knew that the Hawks were going to be the hungrier team tonight.

Dang it.

Their physicality threw us off half way through the first, the second period was theirs and Crawford stood on his head.

Poor effort. Night and day. The urgency and effort was not there. LOTS of floating and watching by a lot of players from top to bottom. Little puck support and defensive support. Forcing bad passes. Laid a friggin eggs.

JJ Khaira has got to be near the end of his leash. What an awful effort. Playing like a guy who thinks he's entitled to a spot in the line up. I just flat out don't think he has the urgency and desperation to stay in the line up or the NHL.

Maybe the team was gassed after after the trip but it's the beginning of the season. They look lazy and tired. Cheating. Hoping their teammate will take care of the job and chip a loose puck up instead of getting into the play hard and supporting. They'd better bounce back with a MUCH more solid effort in the next bunch of games. Tips better let them know this was NOT ok despite a 5-0 start.

RNH is like the Kris Russell of 5v5 offense. All he does is dump and chase.
