Whatever. Loved Pleks in his prime. I'm okay with this if Julien plays him on the 3rd or 4th line and he's paid around $1.5.
Under 2m$ is perfect

Up to 3m$......ok then

Up to 4m$......don’t like it

Above 4m$......hate it!!!!

Nice thing here is we can flip him for another 2nd rounder.....maybe a 3rd!!

Marc Bergevin

‘Go get a dog if you want loyalty ‘ - doesn’t sign Markov

Then goes to sign Plekanec

I think Markov May have been vocally against management and their moves, be it the Subban trade or the coaching non moves.

I think Bergevin had a distaste for the general.

You do need some vets in your team and honestly he’s a good pick up for a rebuild. You don’t to repeat the same mistake the oilers did by not surrounding your young players.

It doesn't matter how much we pay pleks seeing as it's a one year deal in a year where we couldn't possibly fill our cap space up. Who cares what he gets paid.

Yes. We can. He’s ****ing done

But wait I thought you just mentioned this was somehow contrary to a rebuild?

If Bergevin was smart, he would start talking about a rebuild. Not that he has a choice.

This was an obvious move

1 year deal, buffer until the kids are ready, flip at the deadline.

Totally agree.

Bergevin preaches attitude and character. Lol. Markov has more of both in his big toe. Also, I challenge MB to spell either word correctly on the first try.

Pleks is perfect for teaching our young players. No one works harder in practice. He sets a good example.

Same concept in the AHL is used. You bring in vets to help develop your prospects.
